Not only, but also 原來係咁用？IELTS 必學句式：倒裝句 Inversion

相信大家都知道 Not only, but also 呢個常用句式，但係你知唔知自己用得啱唔啱呢？要將句式轉換用的爐火純青嘅話，就一定要識得用 Inversion 倒裝句！就等 Wall Street English 教下大家點樣用 inversion，等大家無論喺 writing 定 speaking 都可以更上一層樓！  

1. Not only …, but also …

I can speak English and Korean. 我會說英文和韓文。

➝ Not only can I speak English, but I can also speak Korean.

我不僅會說英文，還會說韓文。

2. Not until …

I realize I made a mistake until years later.

➝ Not until years later, did I realize I made a mistake.

直到幾年後，我才意識到自己的錯誤。

3. Under no circumstances …

We should never give up. 我們永遠不應放棄。

➝ Under no circumstances should we give up.

在任何情況下，我們都不應該放棄。

4. Never before …

I have never been so offended.

➝ Never before have I been so offended.

我從來沒有被如此冒犯過。

5. Rarely / scarcely …

I have rarely / scarcely been this early.

➝ Rarely / Scarcely have I been this early.

我很少這麼早。

6. No sooner …

It started to rain when we had gone out.

➝ No sooner had we gone out, it started to rain.

我們剛出去，就開始下雨了。

一齊嚟學識 Inversion，IELTS 要攞高分唔再係難事！不過大家要小心唔好過度頻繁使用 inversion 呀，如果唔係就會好奇怪㗎啦。
